Solutions to the Kashmir problem

The Kashmir problem is predominantly an issue that has been created by Pakistan; however, it has magnified over the last few years due to the policy paralysis at the Center and State levels. The Indian government continues to commit errors in resolving the Kashmir issue and this has also led the people of Kashmir to set wrong aspirations. While tackling the Kashmir issue, inside-outside strategy will need to be adopted wherein the government needs to focus on two main challenges viz., internal and external. The medicine for each challenge will be different; however, the cure will be the same.

In this article, we will first discuss various possible solutions that can help us to resolve the internal issues and then, we will move on to the external challenges.

Resolving Internal Issues
Although solution to Kashmir problem is highly improbable under the current leadership, it is not impossible if we have strong-willed leaders at the centre and state level. Nonetheless, I suggest the following steps to improve the Kashmir situation:
  1. Remove special status for J&K: Granting special status is not bad; however, it should not result in the isolation of the state from rest of the country. In case of Kashmir, special status has only isolated the Kashmiris. Therefore, removal of special status will help the Kashmiris to intermingle with other Indians and will eventually help them to live harmoniously.
  2. Resettle KPs back to Kashmir: Implement a program that allows Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) to come back to Kashmir in a proper and phased manner. For example, the government can launch new 'Real Estate' projects which will help in the development of organized residential real estate as well as allow the KPs to start afresh. All the KPs who were rendered homeless and still continue to live under poor conditions should be given first preference to re-locate to Kashmir.
  3. Settlement of Army officers and Sikhs: Along with each KP family, send one family from Army and one Sikh family to settle in Kashmir. Ideal places for resettlement could be near 'Army Areas/Units'. The short term goal will be resettlement by forming diverse communities and long-term goal will be to facilitate demographic change
  4. Infrastructure projects: Launch new infrastructure projects that help in providing jobs to the local people. Identify the weak areas within infrastructure, for example, road, rail, power, airports or any other. Work on improving the infrastructure and hire locals as well as outsiders. However, during the process of job creation, some reservation can be kept for people from different states of the country. For example, the government can keep 33% reservation for people from other states.
  5. Offer economic incentives: Offer economic incentives that attract businesses to invest in various areas such as science and education, transportation, infrastructure and other industrial sectors. This will help the government to offer opportunities in which the Kashmiri people can be gainfully and positively employed.
  6. Digitization of the Valley: This is a very important aspect through which the government can offer jobs and increase the participation of locals. Digitization will further help the Kashmiris to be in sync with rest of India. Dr. C Rangarajan's recommendations are the first steps to initiate such a change.
  7. Leverage technology to ward off terrorist strikes as well as infiltration: Implementation of technology can help the government to prevent terrorist strikes in the valley. The government can also form partnership with Israel to develop or implement such technology that stops infiltration and prevents terrorist strikes. This will also help us to save precious lives of our high quality soldiers.
  8. Conditional Removal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA): Once, the government restores normalcy in the valley and once, the other steps (as mentioned above) have been adequately implemented, then only the government can consider the removal of AFSPA.
Resolving External Issues
Since India's independence, Kashmir has continued to be a major issue for Pakistan. This is primarily due to Pakistan's inability to accept a stronger India as it's neighbor. Even though Pakistan has lost every war with India, it still harbors ambitions of dominating the sub-continent by adopting cheap tactics such as Jihad and separation of Kashmir. Pakistan will continue to support the Separatists in Kashmir because they serve its agenda of weaker India.

Also, the separatists are incorrigible who are only lusting for power and do not have any concern, whatsoever, either for J&K or its people. The Kashmiris need to understand that their situation is not going to improve if they play into the hands of the separatists. Simultaneously, the Centre and J&K's state government need not be soft on Jihadi elements who intend to destabilize the situation further.

Therefore, if India needs to stop Pakistan's proxy war, then the following steps will help:
  • Step 1: As a first measure, try preventing the entry of any terrorist from the border; however, if this continues (which does), then move to the next step.
  • Step 2: Close all economic, sociological and political interaction with PAK. Deport all Pakistanis. Isolate PAK to the extent that it is forced to retreat from its unfriendly position towards India. If PAK's attitude doesn't improve, then move to step 3.
______________________________________________________________________________
Currently India is at step 2; however, Indian government has not been aggressive enough in this step as well. Ideally, this should be the "Red Line" and Pakistan is quite close to it. In such a situation, Indian army, government and citizens should be physically and mentally ready for any kind of fallout between Indian and Pakistan.

Moving to Step 3 is inevitable, so it will be better if all of us are prepared for it.
______________________________________________________________________________
  • Step 3: Target the terrorist camps in PoK. Destroy each and every terrorist camp through air strikes. However, if the situation doesn't improve and PAK continues to train terrorists in order to destabilize India, then move to step 4.
  • Step 4: Don't warn - Just attack PoK with the purpose of destroying 100% of the terrorist infrastructure and then recapture PoK. PAK still continues with its loser attitude, move to step 5.
  • Step 5: Attack PAK's nuclear capabilities in order to disable them and to avoid any kind of misuse. This step will place a full stop to PAK's nuclear blackmail and will allow India to offer a more secure environment to its citizens. However PAK being PAK, it still pricks India, then move to step 6.
______________________________________________________________________________
If we want to attack PAK's nuclear capabilities, then we must be ready with the plan at Step 2 only. This plan to deactivate PAK's nuclear capabilities is important because if Taliban takes over PAK, then Hindus risk to lose a lot of lives. This will help us to save valuable time as well as lot of lives.
______________________________________________________________________________
  • Step 6: Launch an all-out attack on PAK in order to integrate it into India. India should also align with the dissatisfied regions in Pakistan, for example, Balochistan to subdue PAK. This would be the end of it.
Thus, the inside-outside approach will settle the Pak and Kashmir issue once for all and will also help India to emerge as a much stronger nation in the subcontinent. The strategy could be a game changer in relation to India's stature on the world politics.

Know your famous media people

What you should know about Indian Media:

  1. Hindustan Times – Shobhna Bhartia, owner and editor-in-chief of Hindustan Times is a Congress MP from Rajya Sabha.
  2. Vinod Sharma, HT Political Affairs editor, is essentially a Congress spokesman on all TV panel discussions, because once his boss’ term gets over, he will be looking out for her RS seat next :-)
  3. Barkha Dutt and Vir Sanghvi, famous Congress stooges (and intermediaries for UPA allies) who were exposed in the Radiagate scandal, and are virtual Congress spokespersons in their capacities as electronic media personalities, are the ones who write opinion and op-ed columns most frequently (once every week) on the editorial pages of HT. In return, Barkha and Sanghvi are rewarded with Padma Shris and other monetary compensation by the Nehru dynasty or Congress party.
  4. NDTV’s promoters are Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy. Radhika’s sister Brinda Karat is a famous CPM leader (well known for anti-Baba Ramdev views) and Brinda’s husband Prakash Karat is the CPM Politburo General Secretary (well known for preferring Congress over BJP). And Prannoy Roy’s first cousin is the famous far-leftist pro-Maoist-Naxalite pro-Kashmiri-terrorists “intellectual” Arundhati Suzanna Roy.
  5. NDTV’s Barkha Dutt’s reality has already been exposed by me in above section.
  6. NDTV’s Sonia Singh is the wife of Uttar Pradesh Congress MP, Union minister and ex-princely state ruler, Mr. R. P. N. Singh, who is one of the fastest rising stars in the Congress party. If you remember, Sonia Singh is a very high-profile anchor on NDTV whose pro-Congress anti-BJP bias is legendary.
  7. NDTV’s Nidhi Razdan (high-profile anchor of Left Right Centre) is the current girlfriend of J&K CM Omar Abdullah (after Omar recently divorced his wife of several years and mother of his two children, Payal). Nidhi Razdan is also famous for her legendary pro-Congress and anti-BJP bias.
  8. CNN-IBN : Rajdeep Sardesai’s wife and co-promoter of CNN-IBN, Sagarika Ghose, who anchors Face the Nation and is famous journalist of CNN-IBN (well, her hubby is the owner-editor-in-chief after all) are famous Congress stooges.
  9. Sagarika’s father Bhaskar Ghose was a famous sarkari babu and was made the chief of Prasar Bharati (Doordarshan) during Indira and Rajiv regimes. Bhaskar Ghose was well-known for personal loyalty to the Nehru dynasty, and now his daughter and son-in-law are rewarded with their own channel to do Congress propaganda.
  10. In fact Sagarika’s extended family even consists of her aunts Ruma Pal (former Supreme Court justice and a close friend of the Nehru family) and Arundhati Ghose (former diplomat and Indian ambassador to various countries, predictably, under Congress regimes).
  11. Let’s now come to another famous CNN-IBN media personality who also writes columns frequently for Hindustan Times — Karan Thapar. What you may not know is that the Nehru family itself is related, through blood and marriages, to the high-profile Thapar family. India’s Army chief during the 1962 debacle against China, Gen. P. N. Thapar, is brother-in-law of Nayantara Sehgal, the daughter of Vijaylakshmi Pandit and niece of Jawaharlal Nehru. Gen. Thapar’s son is pro-Congress journalist Karan Thapar. Gen. Thapar’s sister is Romila Thapar, a famous “top” typical JNU Nehruvian communist ideologue historian, who gets to write our textbooks and pollute them with pro-Congress Marxist propaganda.
  12. The HIndu – The Worst – N. Ram, owner and editor-in-chief (till February 2012) of The Hindu, was once a vice president of the Students Federation of India. SFI is the students’ wing of the CPM.
  13. P. Sainath of the The Hindu (acclaimed journalist well known for his, again, unsurprisingly, typical left-wing Nehruvian communism ideology), is the nephew of Congress politician V. Shankar Giri and the grandson of V. V. Giri, ex-President of India and famous Congress politician. Giri was especially known to be one of the first few staunch loyalists of Indira, and whom Indira fielded for President elections against her own party’s Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, and who ultimately became the cause of the first high-profile split in the Indian National Congress into Congress (O) and Congress (I) — almost all the pre-independence regional stalwarts split away to join Congress (O) or form their own state parties, and the rest including Giri (all the loyalists of the Nehru family staying on with Indira).
  14. Or even what about little known News24 Hindi media channel? Owned by ex-journalist and editor Rajiv Shukla, famous Congress MP in Rajya Sabha, Union minister, industrialist, BCCI vice president and IPL chairman.
  15. Or even what about little known Lokmat (and IBN Lokmat) that is Marathi newspaper (and channel) in Maharashtra? Owner and editors-in-chief are the brothers Vijay Darda (Congress MP) and Rajendra Darda (Congress MLA in Maharashtra, and minister in state govt).

Or even the other bigger and smaller media houses, such as The Times of India and Indian Express, where the Nehru dynasty has managed to infiltrate its loyalists such as Dileep Padgaonkar and Shekhar Gupta, who are essentially paid stooges of the Congress party.

The typical JNU Nehruvian communist left-libbers ideologues have really perpetrated some kind of stranglehold on India’s journalism, media and intellectual space. Almost all pro-BJP (or even centre-right ideologues) journalists have been slowly thrown out of their jobs due to pressure from the Congress and the Nehru family.

Very few centre-right ideologues are left in India’s media space today, that too in minor publications like The Pioneer. Almost all the mainstream media houses have been thoroughly infiltrated and coerced into towing the Congress’ line, sometimes just through ideology and relationships, and not even money power.

The Congress party essentially owns and controls every single mainstream media house in India, including Hindustan Times, The Times of India, NDTV, CNN-IBN, The Hindu, Tehelka, Outlook, etc

Dr. Subramanian Swamy - An introduction

On this Independence Day, I wish Happy Independence to all my Indian brothers and sisters. On this auspicious day, I would like to talk of Dr. Swamy who is in a league of his own and it does seem that stepping into his shoes will be a gragantuan task.

I strongly feel that media either doesn't portray Dr. Swamy at all OR wrongly portrays him to the Indians. Even then, he has been able to touch the nerve of many young people of the country. I have interacted with number of youngsters whose eyes sparkle just by mentioning Dr. Swamy. This has led me to believe that Dr. Swamy is the voice of India's youth and vice versa.

Dr. Subramanian Swamy is a man of actions. He does what he strongly believes is right and he places his heart and soul into each of his action. He is level headed, objective, unbiased, scientific and multi-dimensional

The best characteristic of Dr. Swamy is his commitment towards fulfilling 'National Goals' irrespective of the successes and failures that may come across. It is this characteristic that makes him unique in comparison to others primarily due to the following reasons:
  1. He is working hard to make India a better country of responsible citizens who are aware of their duties.
  2. Any form of opinion or slander is having no impact on him - that is, Dr. Swamy doesn't feel sad nor does he get excited.
It is extremely rare for any person (leave a Harvard educated politician) to have this quality. To add to the woes of the corrupts and incorrigible ones, Dr. Swamy is an extremely goal oriented person who will achieve the 'National objectives' irrespective of the bias that is witnessed against him in the media.

Dr. Swamy's other qualifications are visible to all however, just to re-iterate, he has done his PHD in economics from Harvard, Masters in Stats from ISI Calcutta and Maths (Hons) from Hindu College (DU). Dr. Swamy completed his PHD in 1960s which is way back at a time when many in India used to dream of a government job. Obviously, Dr. Swamy is miles ahead of others in the Indian political scenario.

Dr. Swamy has also been quite pivotal in achieving a lot of milestones for India irrespective of the adversities that he faced while working on those milestones. For example, the JP movement during emergency days, his fight for saving Ram-Setu, 2G scam case and many others.

Yes, Dr. Swamy is a no-nonsense and an honest person which flusters a lot of people in media and politics. That is why, a lot of them attempt try to thwart him in order to minimize their damage. However, Dr. Swamy is now expanding by each passing day - He has joined BJP which is surely going to send chill down the spine of many, especially the Congis.

Indian politics is now experiencing the shifting of Tectonic plates and a Political Earthquake is just round the corner. This 'Political Earthquake' will shift the dynamics so significantly that India will redeem herself from more than 1000 years of slavery and our motherland will be able to free herself from the clutches of slavery - not just physical but mental slavery as well.

Till then, enjoy the ride .... and HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY to all.

Story of Goddess Tulsi (Holy Basil)

Goddess Tulsi exists in the material world in the form Holy Basil plant which is highly revered among Hindus not only because of its therapeutic qualities but also because of the legendary story attached with it.

Goddess Tulsi came into being purely due to her devotion, dedication and chastity that she practiced in her previous birth as Vrinda - wife of a demon king (Jalandhara). While a short article is too less to describe the entire life of Goddess Tulsi, I will try to do justice while writing about the great Goddess.

Vrinda was an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu as she worshipped him with great devotion. She was also chaste due to which Jalandhara (her husband) was protected from a lot of his misdeeds. Jalandhara was a powerful demon king who had become victorious all over the world; however, such continuous victories led Jalandhara to believe that he is invincible.

After defeating the Demi-Gods, Jalandhara began to believe that he is capable of defeating Lord Shiva (the God of destruction) - one of the Hindu Trinities. Due to this false belief, Jalandhara became very arrogant and also insulted Lord Shiva many times. However, Lord Shiva let go off Jalandhara on several occasions as the demon king had won a boon from Lord Brahma.

Jalandhara was not able to recognize that Vrinda's chastity was saving him from a lot of hardships and even death. Therefore, he continued with his misdeeds such as torturing ordinary humans, banning fire worship and challenging the trinity time and again. However, time was running out and the Hindu Trinity had to make a quick decision in order to stop the evil emanating from Jalandhara.

After a lot of discussions, the trinity concluded that Vrinda's chastity must be spoiled in order to defeat Jalandhara, otherwise the entire world will suffer and imbalance will be created. Therefore, for the protection of Greater good, Lord Vishnu undertook the task of destroying Vrinda's chastity.

Meanwhile, a war was about to break out between Jalandhara and Lord Shiva. While Jalandhara was in a war, Vrinda was praying to Lord Vishnu for the safety of her husband. At this moment, Lord Vishnu took Jalandhara's form to meet Vrinda. When Lord Vishnu (in Jalandhara's form) met Vrinda, he told her that he has won the war against Lord Shiva. At that very moment, Vrinda left her prayers and embraced Jalandhara (Lord Vishnu).

However, Vrinda had actually embraced Vishnu. As a result, she lost her chastity and during the same time Jalandhara was killed by Lord Shiva in the battlefield. Meanwhile, Vrinda also realized that Lord Vishnu had deliberately done this to kill Jalandhara. Vrinda was very upset and cursed Lord Vishnu that he will be also separated from his wife (Goddess Laxmi) and that he will feel the pain similar to what she is feeling now.

Vrinda also questioned Vishnu on why did he do such a thing? At which, Lord Vishnu had replied by saying that for the protection of Good he had no option but to destroy her chastity. However, Lord Vishnu felt very bad because of his action particularly towards a lady who is one of his most ardent devotees.

As a result, Lord Vishnu gracefully accepted his devotee's curse and also blessed Vrinda that in her next birth she will become the Holy Basil plant and that no prayer will be complete without offering Basil leaves to him.

Till today, Hindus offer Holy Basil leaves to Lord Vishnu as they are considered very auspicious and many Hindus also keep Holy Basil plants in their homes because they feel that it doesn't allow any negativity to enter the house.

Thus, we can say that Vrinda became Goddess Tulsi because of the following:
  1. Worshipping Lord Vishnu who is the preserver of the entire universe
  2. Living a chaste life
  3. Being pure from inside
  4. Performing severe austerities
  5. Sacrifice for the good of others
Anyone and everyone has the capability to be like Tulsi, we just need to perform actions at that frequency level. Such is the power of Vrinda's devotion (or Bhakti) that it forced Lord Vishnu to come to the material world. And even then, Lord Vishnu (who is all loving and merciful) accepted Vrinda's curse and also gave her more blessings.

Jai Tulsi Maiya. Jai Vishnu Bhagwaan.

Minimizing negativity in your life?

Attraction is the principal element when we talk of positives or negatives. Everyone's life is full of such experiences that may be negative or positive. I have seen a lot of people, who experience negativity, will start questioning - 'Why Me?'

They will start acting as if they are the biggest victim of a conspiracy by universe.

Well the above statement is partially true and partially false. 'Conspiracy by Universe' is true whereas 'Biggest Victim' is false. In this entire universe, plenty of people suffer in their lives which is as per the laws of the universe and hence, it is a conspiracy or a plan. On the contrary, it is wrong to assume that I am the biggest victim in the entire world or universe. It is against the laws of universe/nature, because nature is ruthless and when it punishes someone, it doesn't care whether the concerned person is a rich or poor person OR whether someone is a famous actor, sports-star, politician or a business tycoon.

So whenever you suffer, the ideal position to take is that it happens to everyone and if not everyone, people do suffer in their own ways for their actions. The following thoughts should also help:
  1. I am suffering because of my actions and no one else is responsible for it.
  2. I pledge that I will rectify my mistakes so that I can offer better future to my family, kids, society and to myself.
  3. I will ensure optimum and fruitful utilization of resources that GOD has gifted me.
If we keep the above points in mind, then I think we can minimize the DEVIL known as negativity. After all, a negative experience brings negative thoughts in mind and negative thoughts further mushroom at a fast pace. As a result, our mind which has so much potential and power simply becomes a 'Garbage Dump'.

Tell me one thing, when some garbage enters your house or garden, then what do you do?
  1. Do you invite more garbage? NO
Your simple and natural reaction is to throw the existing garbage out of your house or garden.

Then, why don't you follow the same practice in case of your mind? Why don't you simply throw the garbage to keep your mind clean?

But your natural reaction is to think negative and that is how you invite more negativity into your mind. Therefore, we can safely say that,

More Negativity = More Garbage (in case of your mind)

In the interest of self realization and in the interest of sustainable development and growth of our coming generation, it is imperative that we religiously follow the practice of throwing negativity out of our mind irrespective of our life situation. That is the best way to deal with it.
