Facts that prove Dr Swamy to be the most pro-Hindu politician of contemporary India

Dr. Swamy's political life is characterized by fighting lone battles, defending individual rights, exposing corruption, and standing for truth even at the cost of facing unjustified criticism, yet never appearing conciliatory against his opponents.  His distinguished contributions make him the most unique politician in the country. Although it is difficult to do justice to Dr. Swamy's contributions in a single article, the following points will provide a broad overview of his achievements: - No politician, whether from BJP or Congress, has to his credit opening of a religious site as prominent as Kailash Mansarovar due to individual efforts. -  Dr. Swamy is the only politician fighting for freeing Hindu temples from state control. In TN, Kerala, Andhra, and Uttarakhand, he is legally involved in cases for the removal of state control of Hindu temples.  -  Dr. Swamy along with his associate and ace lawyer, TG Mohandas is fighting for freeing Devasom Board ...

Bhagwad Gita, Chaper - 2, Shloka 7, Meaning and explanation

श्री भगवानुवाच अशोच्यानन्वशोचस्त्वं प्रज्ञावादांश्च भाषसे। गतासूनगतासूंश्च नानुशोचन्ति पण्डिताः।।2.11।। Meaning: You are grieving for those who do not need your grief. You speak the language of a learned man however, learned people never grieve for deceased and alive. Explanation: Krishna wants to convey to Arjuna that Bhishma and Dronacharya are such great souls that they do not deserve to be grieved. While Arjuna talks like a learned & self-realized person, he also exhibits foolishness in expressing grief for such great souls. Because learned and self-realized man never grieves for those who have left the material world and for those who are still alive.  Through his talk, Arjuna sounds like a knowledgeable and learned person, however, his sadness over possible loss of Bhishma and Dronacharya uncovers his soft corner for both. It is here, Krishna wants to highlight that self-realized persons understand that death is never a final destination. Moreover, grea...

Kalki's manifestation and Eight signs that prove his arrival is imminent

According to Sanatan Dharma, since time immemorial, whenever the world witnesses degradation of culture, in terms of morals and values, Bhagwan Vishnu takes birth in human form or any other living form. The form chosen by Vishnu depends on the prevailing circumstances and consequent need of mother earth. For example, the first Avatar of Matsya (Fish) was chosen because Bhagwan Vishnu had to get back 'Vedas' hidden at the bottom of the ocean by Hriyanksh. Till now, Bhagwan Vishnu has taken nine different avatars in different eras to restore balance on earth. From Matsya, Kurma, Varah, Narsinh to Vaman, Parshuram, Rama, Krishna and Buddha, with each Avatar born with a specific purpose. For example, Shri Ram's objective was to finish off demons first and then slay the most powerful demon (Rakhshas) Ravana. Shri Krishna's most important goal was to impart Bhagwad Gita's gyan. In present times, Vishnu's tenth incarnation as Kalki is expected to manifest anytime soon....

Bhagwad Gita's five shlokas that every Hindu must understand!

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन। मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥ (Chapter - 2, Shloka - 47)   Meaning: You have right over your actions and not on the fruits of your actions. Engagement in action for the sake of fruits will result in bondage. Avoid obsession with inaction just because it doesn't yield fruits. Explanation: A human has right only over his actions, which means he/she can choose the actions. While performing actions, don't develop desire to enjoy fruits of your actions. If you expect fruits, then you become the cause of such fruits. As a result, you will be bound in the cycle of birth and death. However, if you don't expect fruits and accept whatever you get in return without expectation, then you will free yourself from the bondage of action.  Performance of duty takes precedence over any other action even if it may not yield any material results.  यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत:। अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम्॥ (Cha...

Interesting facts about that Mountain in Sri Lanka which has a historical association with Ramayana

Even after 10,000 years, Shri Ram's pious life, sacrifices, public conduct and warrior mindset is deeply ingrained in the subconscious of majority Hindus. Ramayana, one of the greatest epics of the world, is full of events that prove the superhuman life of Shri Ram, Lakshman, Sita and Hanuman. Several present day sites trace back their history to hair-raising events of Ramayana.  For example, Ram-Setu bridge was a super-human feat of that era, which was an outcome of advanced engineering skills of Nal and Neel. Today, global scientific community has accepted Ram Setu to be a man-made bridge. Interestingly, several present day material formations prove the unfolding of events during Ramayana. Some events and consequent change in the earthly arrangement are indicative of mind-boggling capabilities of Heroes and villains in Ramayana. Hanuman ji's ability to travel across the length of Bharat to reach Himalayas, and then manually carry a mountain to Sri Lanka just in time to save t...

With Ram Mandir dream becoming a reality, Hindus heading towards a new era of Ram Rajya!

Heartiest congratulations to all fellow Hindu brothers and sisters on the historic occasion of foundation ceremony of Ram Janam Bhoomi. Ram Mandir victory is sweet and belongs to every Hindu across the street in different parts of India. From a simple sadhu to a common householder and from ground level Kar sewaks to Dr Subramanian Swamy, every Hindu is happy and looking forward to see the beginning of a new era.  For 500 years, Hindus fought to restore the pride and honor of Bharat-Khand and to witness the resurrection of the invincible Prabhu Shri Ram who took birth in the material world to redeem his devotees and enemies both. After 5th August 2020, Hindus will soon be witness to the grand Ram lala temple in Ayodhya.  While everyone played his part very well, few fighters deserve special mention for this historic victory. For example, the Kothari brothers who laid down their lives in the service of Prabhu Shri Ram. The untimely death of these two young brothers galvanized Hi...

A 41 year old Professor/Politician who independently got Kailash Mansarovar opened for Hindus

After the 1962 war, India-China relationship had hit rock bottom and it remained that way for a period of 15 years. In 1977, Janata Party's victory in LS elections led to improvement in diplomatic relations with China. Dr Swamy's deep knowledge and understanding about China helped PM Morarji Desai to improve these relations.   During the same time, Dr Swamy began to develop a strong yearning to visit 'Kailash Mansarovar' which is the ultimate abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati. However, visiting the most revered holy site for Hindus seemed non-viable because of the following reasons:  Kailash Mansarovar was in China (Tibet), which is a Communist country  As the terrain was tough, infrastructure development on  the site was a challenge May be Mahaperiyava's proximity had ignited a hidden goal of Dr Swamy's life, which was to get Kailash Mansarovar opened for Hindu devotees. Consequently, Dr Swamy began to explore the possibility of reopening the Holy sit...

Declare Ram Sethu as a National Heritage Site to protect it from anti-Hindu forces

Ram Setu is not just a matter of belief for Hindus, it is our history that needs to be preserved at any costs. Technically, it is a chain of limestone shoals that connects  Rameshwaram (in India) with Mannar Islands (in Sri Lanka). A s per our historical records, Shri Ram had built Ram Setu to rescue his wife Sita from the clutches of Ravana. The bridge led to the glorious victory of Shri Ram over Ravana and therefore, has significant historical relevance for Hindus. Ram Setu is a technological marvel, a  superhuman scientific advancement of that era.  Shri Ram had built this bridge with the help of two engineers in his Army, namely  Nal and Neel. Contemporary scientific community accepts Ram Setu to be a man-made bridge, and therefore, it is a solid evidence of glorious Hindu past that still reverberates in the hearts of Hindus.  Existence of such an evidence is an eyesore for anti-Hindu forces , which constantly target Hindu monuments and sites to destroy pro...

Six Un-Hindu things under Modi Govt

Government Control of Hindu Temples: Despite Modi’s so-called Hindutva image, more Hindu temples have been brought under government control during the last six years of BJP rule.  In 2019, BJP Uttarakhand state government passed ‘Char Dhaam Shrine Board Management Act’ to take control of 51 Hindu temples in the state. In 2018, then Maharashtra state government, under the CMship of Devendra Fadnavis, passed a bill in the Assembly which enabled state control of ‘Shani Shignapur Temple’.  Maharashtra govt also took control of Mahalaxmi Ambabai Temple in Kohlapur by passing ‘Shree Karveer Niwasini Mahalaxmi (Ambabai) Mandir (Kolhapur) Act’ in 2018. In 2017, BJP government in Haryana took control of Chandi Devi Temple, Panchkula and Durga Mata Temple,  Hisar (Banbhori village). Although Article 25 empowers the government to take control of temples, the process of takeover is subject to certain restrictions. For example, documentary evidence of financial misconduct is essential...

My transformation from a Non-Vegetarian to a Vegetarian

Since I belong to an Army background, eating non-vegetarian came naturally to me. Moreover, Army's culture of parties and intrinsic stress over non-veg eating activated my taste buds quite early in life. I am also from a Punjabi Khatri family where having non-veg is considered a matter of pride. This early conditioning towards non-vegetarianism deeply influenced my psyche which eventually became a strong barrier when I struggled to leave non-veg. I continued to relish non-veg (mainly chicken & goat mutton) till I was 21 years old; however, it was around this time that I seriously began to have second thoughts about it. It all began during a post dinner family conversation over eating habits .. whether one should eat non-veg or not. Ours is a highly religious family too, so these conversations were given equal importance. My father and brother proudly stated that, in Hinduism, Kshatriyas are allowed to eat non-veg as it helps to build aggression among them. However, I c...

Love Jihad and its implications in the Hindu Society

Love Jihad's growing influence is indicative of a deeper level of cultural contamination that may imbalance the heterogeneous structure of Hindu society.    Increasing incidences of 'Love jihad' in India reflect a complete lack of understanding among Hindu girls about the tricks and lies leveraged by Muslims to fool them.  The fact that Muslims are using 'Love' as a tool to change the demographic equation of India is a sufficient condition for Hindu girls to reject Muslim guys. Even if Hindu girls refuse to see this propaganda, then they must utilize all resources to assess the intent of a Muslim youth.  For example, instead of falling for the trap of conversion to Islam, they could test such lovers by asking them to convert back to Hinduism.  In Muslim world, where polygamy & Talaq is a norm, re-visiting the meaning of love is important. Globally, love has a special place for everyone and is considered stronger if it is perpetual, long-lastin...

About time to constitutionally declare India a Hindu Rashtra

India is a Hindu Rashtra and those Muslims, who do not accept their Hindu ancestry, should be first stripped off their voting rights. And even then, if they don't make amends, then they should be asked to pack their bags and sold to Sheikhs as slaves. That is the ideal treatment for these Traitors. Germany's 50% population is Christian, still the government calls the country as a Christian nation. Then what is wrong in India (with 75% Hindus) calling itself a Hindu nation. Hindus should not be shy of calling India a Hindu nation because the majority is Hindus. Those who want to live by the Western defined concepts of secularism will not be able to save themselves from the Islamic onslaught which is just round the corner. One must also understand that moderate/modern Muslim is an oxymoron.  Every Hindu must learn from the history of Jews and if they don't do so, then that day is not far when Hindus will be running away from their one and only homeland to other countri...

Hanuman's Story

JAI BAJRANG BALI Lord Hanuman, an avatar of Lord Shiva, is one of the main protagonists of Ramayana. He took birth to help Lord Sri Ram for re-establishing the dominance of good over evil. As Hanuman was born with gifted talents, his powers and siddhis were visible from the day one of his birth.  He was son of Devi Anjana and Vanar king Kesari who were no ordinary beings. While Kesari was the chief of Vanara army of Sugriva, Devi Anjana was an apsara in her previous birth. Since Lord Vaayu helped Devi Anjana to eat the divine pudding that led to Hanuman's birth, he became the Godfather of Lord Hanuman. At the time of Hanuman's birth, Sri Ram also arrived on earth along with his brothers. Lord Hanuman's natural capability to protect the downtrodden, help the needy and acquire knowledge of vedas was evident from early childhood. However Lord Hanuman was quite mischievous as a child and he did annoy a lot of sages through his naughty acts.  Consequently various sag...

Story of Goddess Tulsi (Holy Basil)

Goddess  Tulsi exists in the material world in the form Holy Basil plant which is highly revered among Hindus not only because of its therapeutic  qualities but also because of the legendary story attached with it.  Goddess  Tulsi came into being purely due to her devotion, dedication and chastity that she practiced in her previous birth as Vrinda - wife of a demon king (Jalandhara). While a short article is too less to describe the entire life of Goddess Tulsi, I will try to do justice while writing about the great Goddess.  Vrinda was an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu as she worshipped him with great devotion. She was also chaste due to which Jalandhara (her husband) was protected from a lot of his misdeeds. Jalandhara was a powerful demon king who had become victorious all over the world; however, such continuous victories led Jalandhara to believe that he is invincible.  After defeating the Demi-Gods, Jalandhara began to believe that he is capable o...

Minimizing negativity in your life?

Attraction is the principal element when we talk of positives or negatives. Everyone's life is full of such experiences that may be negative or positive. I have seen a lot of people, who experience negativity, will start questioning - 'Why Me?' They will start acting as if they are the biggest victim of a conspiracy by universe. Well the above statement is partially true and partially false. 'Conspiracy by Universe' is true whereas 'Biggest Victim' is false. In this entire universe, plenty of people suffer in their lives which is as per the laws of the universe and hence, it is a conspiracy or a plan. On the contrary, it is wrong to assume that I am the biggest victim in the entire world or universe. It is against the laws of universe/nature, because nature is ruthless and when it punishes someone, it doesn't care whether the concerned person is a rich or poor person OR whether someone is a famous actor, sports-star, politician or a business tycoon. So ...

Karma, Luck and Destiny - Part-3

We have already discussed Karma and Luck in the first two parts of this three part series of articles. Now is the turn of Destiny -  As per Free dictionary, Destiny is a predetermined course of events that are considered to be beyond the control of human beings.  It is this predetermined course of events that we have to understand in order to understand our destiny. A lot of people understand destiny as fate; however, it is not an appropriate and sufficient condition. Because, people confuse or substitute destiny as fate which is not true. To be more precise, let me elaborate on the following: "Our fate decides our destiny but our destiny does not decide our fate."   Clearly, our fate is something which will take us closer to our destiny but fate is not the same as destiny. Then, the more important question that comes to everyone's mind is -  "If fate is different than destiny, then what is destiny." I will not hesitate to say that Destiny is our destination - i...
