Dr. Subramanian Swamy: A Stalwart Defender of Dharma in the Face of Political Betrayal

In a resounding victory for Hindu rights and temple autonomy, Dr. Subramanian Swamy’s relentless legal efforts have once again safeguarded the sanctity of India’s sacred spaces. On March 6, 2025, the Uttarakhand government, under Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, was forced to withdraw the controversial Char Dham Devasthanam Management Act through a voice vote in the state assembly. This Act, which sought to bring 104 temples, including the revered Char Dham shrines of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri, under state control, was a blatant attempt to centralize power and exploit temple wealth for political gain. Dr. Swamy’s public interest litigation (PIL) played a pivotal role in exposing and halting this egregious overreach, reinforcing his unwavering commitment to protecting Dharma in the face of mounting challenges.

Dr. Swamy, a veteran politician, economist, and legal eagle, has long been a tireless advocate for the preservation of Hindu temple autonomy and the safeguarding of their spiritual and material heritage. His PIL, filed in response to the Uttarakhand government’s 2019 Char Dham Devasthanam Management Act, argued that the state’s attempt to assume control of these temples—and their vast reserves of gold, jewelry, and other valuables—violated constitutional rights under Articles 25, 26, and 31-A, which guarantee religious freedom and the right to manage religious institutions. The Act, passed under the BJP-led government, aimed to transfer temple assets to the custody of the Chief Minister, who seemed to be directed by PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah to facilitate the transfer of this wealth. Courts, responding to Dr. Swamy’s PIL, ruled that the temple treasures belong to the deities, not the state, effectively thwarting this alleged scheme to loot temple wealth.

This victory is not an isolated incident but part of Dr. Swamy’s decades-long crusade to protect Hindu religious institutions from governmental interference and exploitation. His legal battles, including the successful challenge against the Maharashtra government’s takeover of the Vitthal-Rukmini temple in Pandharpur, demonstrate a consistent pattern of defending temple autonomy against encroachments by both state and central authorities. Dr. Swamy’s efforts underscore a deep commitment to Dharma—the eternal principles of righteousness and justice that form the bedrock of Hindu civilization. His courage in confronting powerful political figures, even within his own party, the BJP, is a testament to his integrity and dedication to the Hindu cause.
However, this triumph casts a harsh light on the betrayal of Hindutva by BJP central leadership, whose actions expose a shocking hypocrisy at the heart of their Hindu nationalist rhetoric. The BJP, under Modi and Shah’s leadership, has long positioned itself as the champion of Hindutva, promising to protect and promote Hindu interests. Yet, the attempt to seize control of the Char Dham temples and their wealth reveals a cynical agenda driven not by devotion but by greed and political opportunism. By directing the Uttarakhand Chief Minister to transfer temple gold and jewelry into their custody, Modi and Shah have betrayed the very principles they claim to uphold, turning sacred spaces into potential piggy banks for their personal or political enrichment. This act of sacrilege not only undermines the trust of millions of Hindus but also mocks the ideology of Hindutva, reducing it to a hollow slogan used to mask authoritarian and exploitative tendencies.
Current conduct of central leadership highlights the dangers of a government that prioritizes power and profit over the spiritual and cultural heritage of India’s majority community. Critics have long accused Modi’s administration of fostering a majoritarian agenda that excludes minorities while simultaneously exploiting Hindu institutions for political gain. This episode erodes their credibility as true guardians of Hindu values. Instead of fostering unity and reverence, their actions have sown division and distrust, tarnishing the legacy of Hindutva with accusations of corruption and sacrilege.
Dr. Swamy’s continuous efforts to save Dharma stand in stark contrast to this betrayal. His legal acumen, combined with his unwavering moral compass, has repeatedly thwarted attempts to undermine Hindu temple autonomy, from Tamil Nadu’s HR&CE Act to the Char Dham controversy. His willingness to challenge powerful figures within his own political party demonstrates a rare courage and conviction, making him a beacon of hope for those who believe in the preservation of India’s spiritual heritage.
As India navigates the complexities of its democratic and religious identity, Dr. Subramanian Swamy’s vigilance serves as a reminder of the importance of safeguarding Dharma against powerful machinations. Meanwhile, Modi and Shah’s actions in the Char Dham case demand introspection and accountability. If Hindutva is to remain a meaningful ideology rather than a tool for exploitation, its leaders must prioritize the sanctity of Hindu institutions over personal or political gain. Dr. Swamy’s triumph is not just a legal victory but a moral one—a clarion call to protect the soul of India from those who would desecrate it for their own ends.

Facts that prove Dr Swamy to be the most pro-Hindu politician of contemporary India

Dr. Swamy's political life is characterized by fighting lone battles, defending individual rights, exposing corruption, and standing for truth even at the cost of facing unjustified criticism, yet never appearing conciliatory against his opponents.

His distinguished contributions make him the most unique politician in the country. Although it is difficult to do justice to Dr. Swamy's contributions in a single article, the following points will provide a broad overview of his achievements:

- No politician, whether from BJP or Congress, has to his credit opening of a religious site as prominent as Kailash Mansarovar due to individual efforts.

-  Dr. Swamy is the only politician fighting for freeing Hindu temples from state control. In TN, Kerala, Andhra, and Uttarakhand, he is legally involved in cases for the removal of state control of Hindu temples.

-  Dr. Swamy along with his associate and ace lawyer, TG Mohandas is fighting for freeing Devasom Board from state control.

- In TN too, Dr. Swamy not only fought for the freedom of Natraja temple but also won the case. The Natraja temple case has become the most celebrated and highly cited case for lawyers fighting for the independence of Hindu temples.

- In February 1991, Dr. Subramanian Swamy, as a  Union Minister of Law & Justice, concluded a Natraja idol smuggling case in the UK court. The return of antique Hindu idols began after this victory.

- He is fighting for freeing Char Dhaam temples from government control. Ironically, BJP ruled Uttarakhand state government passed the Chaar Dhaam Devasthanam Management Act to take control over 51 Hindu temples.

- Dr. Swamy saved Ram Sethu from certain destruction when he obtained a stay from the Supreme Court against the controversial SSCP project. In 2007, then RSS chief, K Sudarshan, and VHP chief Ashok Singhal ji had personally requested Dr. Swamy to intervene in the matter.

- In Ram Mandir, Dr. Swamy's writ petition on the fundamental right to worship changed the course and forced SC to go for a Day-to-day hearing. On late Ashok Singhal ji's request, Dr. Swamy intervened in the Ram Mandir matter and assiduously worked for the cause through legal means.

- As the President of Kashi GyanVapi Mukta Yagna Samiti, Dr. Swamy will be leading the fight for the liberation of Kashi GyanVapi Mandir.

For the majority of politicians, speech is more important than work because the underlying idea is to win elections. Dr. Swamy's case is exactly the opposite because his contributions in public speak more than his words.

Dr. Swamy is a true follower of Krishna's advice on doing karma without expectation of fruits. He is a Nishkaam KarmaYogi in the true sense.

Dr. Subramanian Swamy, therefore, is the most pro-Hindu politician of contemporary India. His power stems from his persistent efforts (karmas) spread over his 50-year political career. Dr. Swamy is a highly educated, incorruptible, progressive, and fighter politician of India. He is a rare Hindu gem and it would be a disaster if India as a nation misses a golden opportunity like Dr. Subramanian Swamy.

Bhagwad Gita, Chaper - 2, Shloka 7, Meaning and explanation

 श्री भगवानुवाच

अशोच्यानन्वशोचस्त्वं प्रज्ञावादांश्च भाषसे।
गतासूनगतासूंश्च नानुशोचन्ति पण्डिताः।।2.11।।

Meaning:

You are grieving for those who do not need your grief. You speak the language of a learned man however, learned people never grieve for deceased and alive.

Explanation:

Krishna wants to convey to Arjuna that Bhishma and Dronacharya are such great souls that they do not deserve to be grieved. While Arjuna talks like a learned & self-realized person, he also exhibits foolishness in expressing grief for such great souls. Because learned and self-realized man never grieves for those who have left the material world and for those who are still alive.

Through his talk, Arjuna sounds like a knowledgeable and learned person, however, his sadness over possible loss of Bhishma and Dronacharya uncovers his soft corner for both. It is here, Krishna wants to highlight that self-realized persons understand that death is never a final destination. Moreover, great souls like Bhishma and Dronacharya don't get adversely affected by such events because death is a mere stopover.

Kalki's manifestation and Eight signs that prove his arrival is imminent

According to Sanatan Dharma, since time immemorial, whenever the world witnesses degradation of culture, in terms of morals and values, Bhagwan Vishnu takes birth in human form or any other living form.

The form chosen by Vishnu depends on the prevailing circumstances and consequent need of mother earth. For example, the first Avatar of Matsya (Fish) was chosen because Bhagwan Vishnu had to get back 'Vedas' hidden at the bottom of the ocean by Hriyanksh.

Till now, Bhagwan Vishnu has taken nine different avatars in different eras to restore balance on earth. From Matsya, Kurma, Varah, Narsinh to Vaman, Parshuram, Rama, Krishna and Buddha, with each Avatar born with a specific purpose.

For example, Shri Ram's objective was to finish off demons first and then slay the most powerful demon (Rakhshas) Ravana. Shri Krishna's most important goal was to impart Bhagwad Gita's gyan.

In present times, Vishnu's tenth incarnation as Kalki is expected to manifest anytime soon. Given the present level of uncertainty, the world will be in dire need of a saviour/Avatar, who will play a pivotal role in restoring the old order when India/Bharat was a VishwaGuru.

Several reasons signify that emergence of an Avatar is just round the corner. They are highlighted as below:

  • Geo-politically, the relationships among nations are tenser than ever before. A single trigger could mire the entire world into collective collateral damage.
  • Administrative systems across the world have been infected by rogue elements, who have also have reached a position, where their decisions impact the whole world.
  • Dominance of liars, psycophants, perverts, corrupted, manipulative and criminal minded people in different spheres of life.
  • Spread of pandemics like Covid-19, which has affected the health of people worldwide and forced shutdown of economic activities.
  • Advent of new diseases, such as AIDS, Cancer etc, which are difficult to cure and cause significant suffering.
  • Increased intensity of criminal activities such as money laundering, terrorism, violence, prostitution, drugs, smuggling etc.
  • Absence of purity, corruption of mind from top to smallest level of society's pyramid. Obsession with money and power however, willful neglect of spiritual practices.
  • In Kali's time, the wealthy will be considered as pious, noble and beautiful whereas the spiritual but poor will be perceived as cursed and evil.

The signs are visible and it is up to the present human beings to realize and recognize these signs. Despite the scientific advancements, falsehood prevails over truth. The world lives in an era of Darkness and further continuation could turn it into an unsustainable place for living.

Bhavishya Purana has predicted the rise of Kalki from the great land of Bharat (India), which is the cradle of world civilization. Since the evil forces are aware about this particular fact, they are trying their best to finish off Sanatan Dharma and its values from India.

Kalki's depiction of riding on a white Horse with a shining sword in his hand is predominantly allegorical. The white horse represents 'Purity' and the sword represents 'Truth'. Therefore, Kalki will lead a pure life and cut the dominant lies with the sword of 'Truth'. He will keep doing his work till the world turmoil becomes uncontrollable and just before world war 3, Kalki will reveal his true self to everyone.

Dynamically changing global environment is taking us closer to world war  3 and therefore, Kalki's manifestation isn't far off. Till then keep doing naam sankirtan to invoke Vishnu's tenth Avatar.

Bhagwad Gita's five shlokas that every Hindu must understand!

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥

(Chapter - 2, Shloka - 47)

Meaning:

You have right over your actions and not on the fruits of your actions. Engagement in action for the sake of fruits will result in bondage. Avoid obsession with inaction just because it doesn't yield fruits.

Explanation:

A human has right only over his actions, which means he/she can choose the actions. While performing actions, don't develop desire to enjoy fruits of your actions. If you expect fruits, then you become the cause of such fruits. As a result, you will be bound in the cycle of birth and death. However, if you don't expect fruits and accept whatever you get in return without expectation, then you will free yourself from the bondage of action. Performance of duty takes precedence over any other action even if it may not yield any material results.

यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत:।
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम्॥

(Chapter 4, Shloka - 7 )

Meaning:

Whenever righteousness (Dharma) declines and is on the verge of obscurity while wickedness (Adharma) grows, then and during all such times, I (God) incarnate by creating myself.

Explanation:

Krishna takes birth at a time when wickedness peaks and dominates the world. It is a time when prevailing wickedness becomes unbearable for mother earth. Krishna waits till wickedness reaches peak because until then the balance of earth may not get disturbed. Moreover, Krishna wants to offer ample opportunities to human beings to realize the righteous path.

परित्राणाय साधूनाम् विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम्।
धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे-युगे॥

(Chapter - 4, Shloka - 8)

Meaning:

To protect pure souls & punish the wicked souls and restore righteousness on earth, I have been taking birth in every age for many ages.

Explanation:

Krishna doesn't interfere in human actions, which means he has allowed complete freedom to everyone to follow his/her path. Only when human degradation reaches a level which is beyond the control of positive powers on earth, Krishna incarnates to restore righteousness to maintain balance on earth.

नैनं छिद्रन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावक: ।
न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुत ॥

(Chapter - 2, Shloka - 23)

Meaning:

The soul is neither destroyed by weapons nor burnt by fire. It can neither get wet by water nor dried by air.

Explanation:

The soul is indestructible and continues to exist forever. It may change form from one living entity to another through cycle of births and deaths however, its journey never stops. In the larger scheme of things, material aspects of earth don't have the ability to impact the soul.

हतो वा प्राप्यसि स्वर्गम्, जित्वा वा भोक्ष्यसे महिम्।
तस्मात् उत्तिष्ठ कौन्तेय युद्धाय कृतनिश्चय:॥

(Chapter - 2, Shloka - 37 )

Meaning:

In case you attain Veergati during war, then you will reach heaven and if you are victorious in war, then you will enjoy the comforts of the world. Therefore, Oh Arjuna, stand up to fight with determination.

Explanation:

Krishna is highlighting that nothing deserves your grief during war time. The next journey is determined by your sincerity towards your duty and not by the outcome of the war. The final outcome is auspicious for the winning side and the losing side both.

Interesting facts about that Mountain in Sri Lanka which has a historical association with Ramayana

Even after 10,000 years, Shri Ram's pious life, sacrifices, public conduct and warrior mindset is deeply ingrained in the subconscious of majority Hindus.

Ramayana, one of the greatest epics of the world, is full of events that prove the superhuman life of Shri Ram, Lakshman, Sita and Hanuman. Several present day sites trace back their history to hair-raising events of Ramayana.

For example, Ram-Setu bridge was a super-human feat of that era, which was an outcome of advanced engineering skills of Nal and Neel. Today, global scientific community has accepted Ram Setu to be a man-made bridge. Interestingly, several present day material formations prove the unfolding of events during Ramayana. Some events and consequent change in the earthly arrangement are indicative of mind-boggling capabilities of Heroes and villains in Ramayana.

Hanuman ji's ability to travel across the length of Bharat to reach Himalayas, and then manually carry a mountain to Sri Lanka just in time to save the lives of Ram and Lakshman is one such example. These events are explained in the chapters 74 and 102 of Yudhkanda of Valmiki Ramayana.

In chapter 74, Inderjit used Brahmastra against Bhagwan Ram, Lakshman and their entire army, which made all of them unconscious. However, Hanuman ji, Vibhishan and Jambavan escaped the impact of Inderjit's weapon. Then Jambavan had requested Hanuman ji to search for four types of Herbs namely, Mrita Sanjivani, Vishalya Karani, Suvarna Karani and Sandhani to cure the ailments caused by Inderjit's weapon. All these herbs were available between Kailash and Rishabha mountain, however, Hanuman ji struggled to identify these herbs. As a result, Hanuman ji lifts the entire mountain range and carries it to Sri Lanka.

The strong healing power of the herbs helped Shri Ram, Lakshman and the entire army in regaining their consciousness.

A similar episode occurred in Chapter 102, when Lakshman ji suffered heavy injuries due to Interjit's arrows and later lost consciousness. Then Sugriva sent Hanuman ji to extract herbs from Mahodara mountain located in Dronagiri range (which is now identified as Dunagiri in Almora district of Uttarakhand state).

In present day Sri Lanka, 'Sri Pada' mountain is considered to be the same mountain that Hanuman ji carried from Dronagiri range. It is a unique mountain in Sri Lankan mountain range. The vegetation on mountain is similar to the vegetation on Himalayas and is in contrast with Sri Lankan fauna. The mountain is rich with different medicinal herbs and is believed to have Himalayan origins.

With Ram Mandir dream becoming a reality, Hindus heading towards a new era of Ram Rajya!

Heartiest congratulations to all fellow Hindu brothers and sisters on the historic occasion of foundation ceremony of Ram Janam Bhoomi. Ram Mandir victory is sweet and belongs to every Hindu across the street in different parts of India. From a simple sadhu to a common householder and from ground level Kar sewaks to Dr Subramanian Swamy, every Hindu is happy and looking forward to see the beginning of a new era.

For 500 years, Hindus fought to restore the pride and honor of Bharat-Khand and to witness the resurrection of the invincible Prabhu Shri Ram who took birth in the material world to redeem his devotees and enemies both. After 5th August 2020, Hindus will soon be witness to the grand Ram lala temple in Ayodhya.

While everyone played his part very well, few fighters deserve special mention for this historic victory. For example, the Kothari brothers who laid down their lives in the service of Prabhu Shri Ram. The untimely death of these two young brothers galvanized Hindus across the country, which strengthened the Ram Janam Bhoomi movement. A dozen other activists and Sadhus like  Bairagi Abhiram Das, Devraha Baba, Moropant Pingle, Mahant Avaidyanath and others played their respective role for Ram Mandir during different eras.

In the present day, former VHP President, Late Ashok Singhal ji and current BJP leader, Dr Subramanian Swamy played the most prominent role in making this dream come true. How can one forget that famous image of Ashok Singhal ji, where his head was bleeding profusely yet he was leading from the front and giving instructions to karsewaks at a time when Mulayam Singh Yadav's government had ordered police action against Karsewaks.

Years later, during UPA's decade of darkness, Ashok Singhal ji came in close contact with Dr Swamy primarily due to concerns over dredging of Ram Setu, which was of course resolved by Dr Swamy in the last minute court battle. Ashok Singhal ji had also formed firm belief that Ram Mandir matter can be resolved by the indomitable Dr Subramanian Swamy.

In 2015, when Ashok Singhal ji was battling with poor health, he took Dr Swamy's promise to keep fighting for Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. Never to back-off from his words, Dr Swamy initiated Ram Mandir battle in the courts. In 2016, his writ petition (on Fundamental Right to Worship at RJB site) got listed in the SC. Thereon, Dr Swamy resolutely pursued the matter in SC and his relentless fight finally took proper shape in 2019, when SC agreed for day-to-day hearings for Ram Mandir.

Dr Swamy's WP added great deal of ammunition to otherwise lacklustre title dispute, which was languishing in SC from 2010 to 2016. His argument on 'Fundamental right to worship' gave a new lease of life to prevailing hopelessness in the matter. In the present context, especially from 2010 to 2020, Dr Swamy's fight for Ram Mandir is exceptional.

Dr Swamy is truly blessed to have completed two significant works (Ram Setu & Ram Mandir) of Shri Ram and all Hindus are truly blessed to see Dr Swamy in action.

A 41 year old Professor/Politician who independently got Kailash Mansarovar opened for Hindus

After the 1962 war, India-China relationship had hit rock bottom and it remained that way for a period of 15 years. In 1977, Janata Party's victory in LS elections led to improvement in diplomatic relations with China. Dr Swamy's deep knowledge and understanding about China helped PM Morarji Desai to improve these relations.

During the same time, Dr Swamy began to develop a strong yearning to visit 'Kailash Mansarovar' which is the ultimate abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati. However, visiting the most revered holy site for Hindus seemed non-viable because of the following reasons:
  • Kailash Mansarovar was in China (Tibet), which is a Communist country
  • As the terrain was tough, infrastructure development on  the site was a challenge
May be Mahaperiyava's proximity had ignited a hidden goal of Dr Swamy's life, which was to get Kailash Mansarovar opened for Hindu devotees. Consequently, Dr Swamy began to explore the possibility of reopening the Holy site. He discussed the matter with other Janata Party leaders, however, faced stiff opposition from them. Many felt that China will not entertain such a demand because it has a Communist government, which doesn't believe in the concept of God. Moreover, such initiative could further deteriorate India's relations with China.

In process, three years passed and Janata government fell due to the split within Janata party. Fresh elections were announced and Congress made a resounding comeback in 1980 general elections. Even during Congress rule, Dr Swamy raised this issue with government officials and met the same resistance.

Finally, Dr Swamy sought guidance from the 'Great Seer of Kanchi', who not only encouraged but blessed Dr Swamy to talk to Chinese for opening the holy site for Hindus. In 1981, during a personal visit to China, Dr Swamy had one-to-one engagement with Chinese leader Deng Xiao Ping. In a meeting that lasted for 100 minutes, Dr Swamy managed to convince Chinese leadership to open Kailash Mansarovar for Hindu pilgrims.

Imagine a 41 year old young Professor/Politician negotiating with China's leadership in his personal capacity and then convincing it to agree to his demands. However, the Deng Xiaoping had laid down two conditions for the opening of Kailash Mansarovar route:
  • Dr Swamy will lead the first delegation of 20 Hindu pilgrims visiting the holy site.
  • Kailash Mansarovar will not be open for Christians and Muslims
Both the conditions were later agreed upon by Congress government basis Dr Swamy's feedback. As a result, Kailash Mansarovar route opened due to single handed efforts of Dr Swamy, who also led the first batch of Hindus to pay respects at the abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati in Sepetember, 1981.

Reopening of Kailash Mansarovar broke ice between India & China and helped both the countries to improve relations.

Declare Ram Sethu as a National Heritage Site to protect it from anti-Hindu forces

Ram Setu is not just a matter of belief for Hindus, it is our history that needs to be preserved at any costs. Technically, it is a chain of limestone shoals that connects Rameshwaram (in India) with Mannar Islands (in Sri Lanka). As per our historical records, Shri Ram had built Ram Setu to rescue his wife Sita from the clutches of Ravana. The bridge led to the glorious victory of Shri Ram over Ravana and therefore, has significant historical relevance for Hindus.

Ram Setu is a technological marvel, a superhuman scientific advancement of that era. Shri Ram had built this bridge with the help of two engineers in his Army, namely Nal and Neel. Contemporary scientific community accepts Ram Setu to be a man-made bridge, and therefore, it is a solid evidence of glorious Hindu past that still reverberates in the hearts of Hindus.

Existence of such an evidence is an eyesore for anti-Hindu forces, which constantly target Hindu monuments and sites to destroy proof of Hindu history. In 2007, then UPA government, under the instructions of Sonia Gandhi, had ordered dredging of Ram Setu despite opposition from scientific community and Hindu leaders like late Ashok Singhal ji (VHP). When all hope was lost, Dr Swamy had come to the rescue and filed a petition with Supreme Court to obtain a stay on dredging.

The stay provided a much needed 'BREATHER' to Hindus during Congress rule and with BJP's rise to power in 2014, Hindus were hopeful to achieve a permanent solution of this matter. Dr Swamy appealed his own government to declare 'Ram Setu' as a 'National Heritage site' so that it can be protected from any dredging attempt in future. More than six years have passed and BJP government hasn't yet fulfilled Dr Swamy's demand of declaring Ram Setu as a national heritage site.

Just recently, DMK MP, TR Baalu had written a detailed letter to PM Modi urging him to revive Sethu Samudram Shipping Canal Project (SSCP), which requires dredging of Ram Setu. DMK, a rabidly anti-Hindu party, is following an anti-Hindu agenda yet BJP, a Hindutva party, is showing confusion in offering Hindu welfare.

Ministry of Culture has already cleared the files for the declaration of Ram Setu as 'National Heritage', however, the files are pending approval from PM's end. All it needs is PM Modi's signature and Ram Setu will become a protected site.

Six Un-Hindu things under Modi Govt

Government Control of Hindu Temples:

Despite Modi’s so-called Hindutva image, more Hindu temples have been brought under government control during the last six years of BJP rule.

In 2019, BJP Uttarakhand state government passed ‘Char Dhaam Shrine Board Management Act’ to take control of 51 Hindu temples in the state.

In 2018, then Maharashtra state government, under the CMship of Devendra Fadnavis, passed a bill in the Assembly which enabled state control of ‘Shani Shignapur Temple’.

Maharashtra govt also took control of Mahalaxmi Ambabai Temple in Kohlapur by passing ‘Shree Karveer Niwasini Mahalaxmi (Ambabai) Mandir (Kolhapur) Act’ in 2018.

In 2017, BJP government in Haryana took control of Chandi Devi Temple, Panchkula and Durga Mata Temple,  Hisar (Banbhori village).

Although Article 25 empowers the government to take control of temples, the process of takeover is subject to certain restrictions. For example, documentary evidence of financial misconduct is essential to facilitate such takeover.

In all the above cases, BJP government failed to conduct due diligence prior to takeover. Under the pretext of facilities management and infrastructure improvement, it usurped control of temples.

Nearly 60-70% of temple donations are utilised for paying staff salaries, upkeep of temple premises and other secular purposes. Only 1-2% of donations are used for festivals whereas, no donation money is spent on the development of Ved Paathshalas. Doesn't this mean that BJP gradually transitioning into a secular party?

Interestingly, BJP opposes government takeover of Hindu temples in non-BJP ruled states but grabs temple properties in states where it is in power. Such duplicity proves that BJP's concern for Hindu welfare is a sham.

Increased funding for minorities through Ministry of Minority Affairs:

Ministry of minority affairs was created on 29th Jan 2006 by the UPA government with the sole purpose of pampering minorities. The decision wasn’t surprising because the UPA always pandered to minorities. After BJP’s resounding victory in 2014, Hindus were hopeful that such ministries will be disbanded due to their discriminatory nature.

However, BJP not only continued with the UPA legacy but also consistently increased funding for minorities in order to appear secular. Surprisingly, the so-called Hindutva party introduced several new schemes for minorities under different categories such as education, economic and infrastructure, which further expanded the scope of the ministry.

Moreover, the ministry hasn’t yet seen a non-Muslim union minister as a head, even though incentives to all minorities such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and Parsis are part of its objectives. Why did the government choose a Muslim Minister as a head of the minority affairs? Why not a Parsi, Sikh or Christian as the head of the ministry?

The answer is obvious - after Hindus, Muslims are a sizeable vote bank in India. It is a big carrot to a party whose sole objective is winning elections.

Third Largest Exporter of Cara Beef in the world

Over the last ten years, India has emerged as the third largest exporter of Cara Beef in the world. Although Cara Beef (buffalo meat) belongs to the same cattle family as that of Cows, it isn’t considered holy by many Hindus. As a result, rising exports of buffalo meat hasn’t been a matter of concern. As per the graph below, beef exports from India witnessed consistent increase under Modi’s rule.

Source: Agriculture and Processed food products development authority (APEDA)

According to APEDA, Buffaloes are strictly slaughtered using Halal, which is an Islamic practice.

Although Buffaloes don't enjoy the same place as cows, they are deeply interconnected with Hindu culture. For example, a Buffalo is the vehicle of 'Yamraj' - the God of Death. In Southern India, many buffalo festivals such as Sadar (AP), Kambala (Karnataka) and Jallikatu (TN) are organised as a mark of respect to Gods for the good health of cattle.

Just like cows, Buffaloes have been a source of milk products such as milk, butter, white cheese and curd. As they play a pivotal role in providing nutrition to Indian children, slaughtering them for exports is a brutally un-Hindu act.

Continuation of Right To Education (RTE) Act

On 4th August 2009, UPA government enacted RTE to enable free and compulsory education for children aged between 6 to 14 years. According to the Act, aided and unaided schools are legally bound to keep 25% of school seats reserved for children from economically weaker backgrounds.

However, flaws in the ACT led to the exclusion of aided and unaided minority schools from the ambit of RTE. The minority institutions, therefore, escaped from stringent rules and procedures of RTE, which were to be followed by aided and unaided non-minority schools. This discrepancy alone has led to closure of Hindu run schools in our country over the last ten years. Apart from 25% reservation, other provisions of RTE added to the unviability of managing a school.

While a minority school (Convent or a Madrassa),  could easily operate in a small building without complying with RTE standards, other private schools (administered by Hindus) were made to follow the rules diligently. Failure to comply results in closure or takeover by the state education department.

Based on data provided by National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA), nearly 3,000 schools have been closed in 2015-16 due to non-compliance of RTE act. The closure of Hindu administered schools will facilitate growth of Convent Schools and Madrassas.

RTE, therefore, has created such disparity in the education sector, which is counter-productive for the majority community. It is a UPA legacy, which has no relevance under a government that thrives on Hindu votes.

Different states, Different rules

BJP adopts and follows different rules for different states, which gives an impression that party’s brand of Hindutva is opportunistic. For example, the party rakes up temple and cow slaughter issues in the Hindi belt, however, conveniently changes stand in states like Goa and Mizoram where the dominant population is Christian.

For example, BJP has set up a missionary cell in Mizoram to pander to Christian sentiments. The displaced Bru tribes, who were the original hindus from Mizoram, are being settled in Tripura. Beef is openly served in Goa’s restaurants to cater to foreign tourists. Except cows, all sorts of cattle are slaughtered in Goa using Halal practices.

In the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir, BJP government has introduced domicile act to ensure status quo in its demography. This is in sharp contrast to BJP's publicly stated position of integrating Kashmir with rest of India.

Revision of History Textbooks/Curriculum

Post independence, India’s history was distorted in the curriculum primarily to diminish the perception of India’s glorious civilizational past. The presentation of contents was disproportionately in favor of Mughals and British rule. The primary objective was to inculcate a sense of inferiority among Hindus regarding their own roots.

Unfortunately, BJP hasn't done much to rectify the existing distortions. The history books continue to sing glories of Mughal rule and do not offer a detailed account of Hindu rulers.  The history of great Hindu kingdoms of Cholas, Ahoms, Bhatti Rajputs, the Marathas, Maharana Pratap and sacrifices of Sikh Gurus have been awfully neglected.

The utter disregard of BJP government in this matter is producing another generation of Hindus with a sense of inferiority. As time is slipping by, a golden opportunity to rectify historical wrongs is being missed.

My transformation from a Non-Vegetarian to a Vegetarian

Since I belong to an Army background, eating non-vegetarian came naturally to me. Moreover, Army's culture of parties and intrinsic stress over non-veg eating activated my taste buds quite early in life. I am also from a Punjabi Khatri family where having non-veg is considered a matter of pride. This early conditioning towards non-vegetarianism deeply influenced my psyche which eventually became a strong barrier when I struggled to leave non-veg. I continued to relish non-veg (mainly chicken & goat mutton) till I was 21 years old; however, it was around this time that I seriously began to have second thoughts about it.

It all began during a post dinner family conversation over eating habits .. whether one should eat non-veg or not. Ours is a highly religious family too, so these conversations were given equal importance. My father and brother proudly stated that, in Hinduism, Kshatriyas are allowed to eat non-veg as it helps to build aggression among them. However, I countered that many Kshatriyas are not owning up to their Kshatriya Dharma in contemporary times, for example, when a weak person is beaten up or a girl is molested, how many Kshtriyas stand for their help? The answer is ZERO ... yet many of the so-called Kshtriyas rhetorically call themselves WARRIOR CLASS when it comes to non-veg eating.

Nonetheless, non-veg began to trouble my thought-process and one fateful night I had a dream that completely shook my SOUL. Its been more than 12 years and I still vividly remember that dream ... so I will narrate the sequence to all of you. In my dream, I saw myself sailing on a boat in a rough sea. Due to the storm, my boat sank and I was eventually drowning ... I kept falling until I saw a BIG SHARK charging at me and I was shit scared. I couldn't help saving myself and the SHARK took away my entire lower body. I woke up, suddenly realizing that it was just a dream ... took a sigh of relief feeling that I am still very much alive BUT I was sweating profusely.

This dream was the TIPPING POINT .... the moment that compelled me into turning vegetarian. All other factors such as spiritual enhancement, regulated aggression, reduced lust, and healthier lifestyle had yet not surfaced my mind. Only one thing mattered to me THAT I need to save myself from that SHARK.

Phase - I

Hence began my journey towards vegetarianism. I decided not to have non-veg even if my father will home-cook it OR in case of any special occasion. The real fight began now because many in my family, particularly my father and brother actively resisted my move ... They tried to convince me with number of fallacious reasons from 'enjoying life' to our 'Kshatriya lineage' ... This entire DRAMA continued for another 1.5 years; however, I eventually gave in and started having non-veg food again...

Phase - II

By now, I had picked up a job in an MNC and here too, I met many friends who were fond of Non-veg and did not actually appreciate my viewpoint over vegetarianism. Even though I was having non-veg
after 1.5 years, I wasn't relishing it anymore. So after six months, I tried leaving non-veg again ... BUT was unable to keep my promise. I was thoroughly disappointed because of my inability to resist the temptations ...

I was disappointed because even after trying to leave non-veg two times, I fell again for the trap. This repetitive behavior wasn't doing any good and my mind was in complete turmoil. Meanwhile, I wasn't enjoying my MNC job either ... so after having worked for 1.5 years ... I decided to call it quits. By the time I quit my job, I was 24 years old.

Phase - III

Due to the stress in the job, I now wanted to head towards a HILL station to spend some time alone. This was a good decision because it helped me to improve my resistance towards non-vegetarian food. I zeroed in an isolated village in Himachal Pradesh, where I planned to stay for a period of 15 days. While I dedicated a lot of my time towards trekking and silence, I also occasionally indulged in spiritual discussions with fellow villagers. It was during such discussions that I understood the impact of non-veg diet on person's thinking and behavior.

Meanwhile, that DREAM kept haunting me and reminding me about the LAW of KARMA. I thought its about time that I seriously give up Non-veg AND hence, began my journey towards Vegetarianism ... However, this time I succeeded in leaving it despite pressures from several quarters.

Not only did I give up Non-veg BUT I also eventually succeeded in transforming many of my near and dear ones in giving up this kind of eating lifestyle.

Love Jihad and its implications in the Hindu Society

Love Jihad's growing influence is indicative of a deeper level of cultural contamination that may imbalance the heterogeneous structure of Hindu society.

Increasing incidences of 'Love jihad' in India reflect a complete lack of understanding among Hindu girls about the tricks and lies leveraged by Muslims to fool them. The fact that Muslims are using 'Love' as a tool to change the demographic equation of India is a sufficient condition for Hindu girls to reject Muslim guys. Even if Hindu girls refuse to see this propaganda, then they must utilize all resources to assess the intent of a Muslim youth.

For example, instead of falling for the trap of conversion to Islam, they could test such lovers by asking them to convert back to Hinduism. In Muslim world, where polygamy & Talaq is a norm, re-visiting the meaning of love is important. Globally, love has a special place for everyone and is considered stronger if it is perpetual, long-lasting and commitment driven; however, a number of Muslim love stories do not even last a lifetime. For example, multiple marriages or love-affairs of a Muslim do not reflect a stronger bond of everlasting love at all.

Many sickularists (including mainstream media) prefer to paint every affair as pure love, as if every short tale of love is a purification exercise. Nonetheless, the term 'Love Jihad' is self explanatory and does highlight the subtle techniques (evolved form of Al-Taqqiyaa) leveraged by Islam to attack Hinduism. For example, a Muslim may use a Hindu name to establish contact with Hindu girls and will gradually trap multiple girls simultaneously to improve his hit rate. While Muslims deploy such tactics to achieve a higher rate of conversion; they also receive considerable monetary reward for every Hindu girl converting to Islam.

Recent case of Tara Shahdeo, a national shooter, who married to Raqibul Hasan Khan under the impression that he is Ranjit Kumar Kohli is a glaring example of 'Love Jihad'. After her marriage, Tara was brutally tortured by her Muslim husband for one month, only because she refused to convert to Islam.

Particularly in Kerala, Muslims promise to marry Hindu girls if they agree to convert to Islam. Girls accepting such a preposterous condition are first dropped at a nearby madrassa for conversion but the story doesn't end there. Most of the times, the girl doesn't get married to the Muslim guy but, in fact, she is drugged and shipped to Gulf countries for a price.

Apart from the above examples, some Muslims (typically public figures) tend to fake modernity/secularism to subtly achieve the objective of spreading Islam. They adopt nuanced strategies to dodge public scrutiny, for instance, Aamir Khan & Saif Ali Khan. Both are the best examples of 'Love Jihad', as per which they not only married multiple Hindu girls but also compelled their children to adopt Islam. Aamir Khan, for example, clearly stated that his children will only follow Islam whereas, Saif got Kareena converted to Islam.

These are not mere conspiracy theories but real time threats that are staring at Hindus. While anti-Hindu elements in Kerala, UP, Karnataka, Maharashtra and other states are using every trick of the trade to trap Hindu girls; Dawood is using his influence in Bollywood to softly execute the agenda of Islam. Therefore, not only Hindu girls need to be alert for their honor but also the Hindu guys need to reform the existing malpractices such as dowry.

About time to constitutionally declare India a Hindu Rashtra

India is a Hindu Rashtra and those Muslims, who do not accept their Hindu ancestry, should be first stripped off their voting rights. And even then, if they don't make amends, then they should be asked to pack their bags and sold to Sheikhs as slaves. That is the ideal treatment for these Traitors.

Germany's 50% population is Christian, still the government calls the country as a Christian nation. Then what is wrong in India (with 75% Hindus) calling itself a Hindu nation. Hindus should not be shy of calling India a Hindu nation because the majority is Hindus. Those who want to live by the Western defined concepts of secularism will not be able to save themselves from the Islamic onslaught which is just round the corner. One must also understand that moderate/modern Muslim is an oxymoron.

Every Hindu must learn from the history of Jews and if they don't do so, then that day is not far when Hindus will be running away from their one and only homeland to other countries (just like Jews).

Hindus must also learn from their own past, that is, how the Hindu kings were deceived time and again by the lies of Muslim invaders and how our culture was attacked. We have had enough and it is about time that Hindus be more upfront about their beliefs and react to any kind of attack with swiftness. There is no time for fake secularism which only turn India into an Islamic Republic by 2050.

We must preempt the situation of 2050, else we are surely heading in that direction. There are already several indications such as Kashmiri students celebrating PAK victory, violence in TN and Assam, fatwa in Rameshwaram and the undergoing Islamization of Kerala.

Hanuman's Story

JAI BAJRANG BALI

Lord Hanuman, an avatar of Lord Shiva, is one of the main protagonists of Ramayana. He took birth to help Lord Sri Ram for re-establishing the dominance of good over evil. As Hanuman was born with gifted talents, his powers and siddhis were visible from the day one of his birth.

He was son of Devi Anjana and Vanar king Kesari who were no ordinary beings. While Kesari was the chief of Vanara army of Sugriva, Devi Anjana was an apsara in her previous birth. Since Lord Vaayu helped Devi Anjana to eat the divine pudding that led to Hanuman's birth, he became the Godfather of Lord Hanuman. At the time of Hanuman's birth, Sri Ram also arrived on earth along with his brothers.

Lord Hanuman's natural capability to protect the downtrodden, help the needy and acquire knowledge of vedas was evident from early childhood. However Lord Hanuman was quite mischievous as a child and he did annoy a lot of sages through his naughty acts.

Consequently various sages, using their power of Tapasya, ensured that Lord Hanuman forgets his knowledge and siddhis. This was primarily done to control the mischiefs of Lord Hanuman. Nonetheless, the sages knew that Hanuman had taken birth for a special purpose and therefore, they also established a way through which he will realize his full potential at an appropriate time.

Once, Lord Hanuman charged towards Sun God thinking that he is a fruit. When Indra saw a young child charging towards SUN, he used thunderbolt to stop him. However, Indra's power of thunderbolt killed Hanuman. Lord Vaayu, who was Hanuman's Godfather, threatened the GODS that he will suck away all air from earth which will make life impossible for all living beings.

The Gods knew that Hanuman was badly needed to restore the balance on earth. The Gods were also aware that the primary objective of Hanuman's birth was to help Narayana. As a result, Lord Shiva brought Hanuman back to life and other GODS (including Indra) generously granted boons to Hanuman.

I will post more information in future, as one post is not sufficient to capture everything about the Legend of Lord Hanuman. Therefore, I request you to patiently wait for more.
