Declare Ram Sethu as a National Heritage Site to protect it from anti-Hindu forces

Ram Setu is not just a matter of belief for Hindus, it is our history that needs to be preserved at any costs. Technically, it is a chain of limestone shoals that connects Rameshwaram (in India) with Mannar Islands (in Sri Lanka). As per our historical records, Shri Ram had built Ram Setu to rescue his wife Sita from the clutches of Ravana. The bridge led to the glorious victory of Shri Ram over Ravana and therefore, has significant historical relevance for Hindus.

Ram Setu is a technological marvel, a superhuman scientific advancement of that era. Shri Ram had built this bridge with the help of two engineers in his Army, namely Nal and Neel. Contemporary scientific community accepts Ram Setu to be a man-made bridge, and therefore, it is a solid evidence of glorious Hindu past that still reverberates in the hearts of Hindus.

Existence of such an evidence is an eyesore for anti-Hindu forces, which constantly target Hindu monuments and sites to destroy proof of Hindu history. In 2007, then UPA government, under the instructions of Sonia Gandhi, had ordered dredging of Ram Setu despite opposition from scientific community and Hindu leaders like late Ashok Singhal ji (VHP). When all hope was lost, Dr Swamy had come to the rescue and filed a petition with Supreme Court to obtain a stay on dredging.

The stay provided a much needed 'BREATHER' to Hindus during Congress rule and with BJP's rise to power in 2014, Hindus were hopeful to achieve a permanent solution of this matter. Dr Swamy appealed his own government to declare 'Ram Setu' as a 'National Heritage site' so that it can be protected from any dredging attempt in future. More than six years have passed and BJP government hasn't yet fulfilled Dr Swamy's demand of declaring Ram Setu as a national heritage site.

Just recently, DMK MP, TR Baalu had written a detailed letter to PM Modi urging him to revive Sethu Samudram Shipping Canal Project (SSCP), which requires dredging of Ram Setu. DMK, a rabidly anti-Hindu party, is following an anti-Hindu agenda yet BJP, a Hindutva party, is showing confusion in offering Hindu welfare.

Ministry of Culture has already cleared the files for the declaration of Ram Setu as 'National Heritage', however, the files are pending approval from PM's end. All it needs is PM Modi's signature and Ram Setu will become a protected site.

Dr Swamy's heroic fight against Emergency for democracy!!

On 25th Jun 1975, Indira Gandhi declared the emergency to suppress the growing voices of opposition. Several Jan Sangh stalwarts such as JP, Morarji Desai, Nanaji Deshmukh and Ashok Mehta were arrested. On that fateful night, JP, while having dinner with Dr Swamy, sounded alarm bells about a possible military rule. Dr Swamy, in his usual style, remained calm and composed.  However, JP’s premonition turned out to be true. After returning home, Dr Swamy was tipped off by an unknown police officer about his imminent arrest in the early morning hours. Dr Swamy was quick to react and left his residence to some other place in Delhi, where he could hideout.  After staying for two days at a friend’s house, Dr Swamy shifted to Rajinder Nagar to stay along with Nanaji Deshmukh till August 25, 1975. Meanwhile, senior Jan Sangh leaders such as JP Narayan and Morarji Desai were arrested and sentenced to solitary confinement with complete disregard for their age (late 70s). To make matters ...

Dr. Subramanian Swamy's contributions in 1991 economic reforms

Dr. Subramanian Swamy's contributions to India's 1991 economic reforms deserve a closer look, especially for their intellectual and strategic depth at a time of national crisis. His efforts laid critical ground w ork, for enabling India' s economic growth. In 1990-91, India was on the brink of economic collapse. Foreign exchange reserves had dwindled to a mere $1 billion, barely enough to cover two weeks of imports. The Gulf War exacerbated the situation, with rising oil prices and the loss of remittances from Indian workers in the Middle East. As Minister of Commerce and Law in the Chandra Shekhar government , Dr. Swamy was thrust into this maelstrom. Recognizing the urgency, he drafted a comprehensive reform blueprint that included deregulation, dismantling the license raj , and opening up to foreign investment —ideas that were radical for a country steeped in decades of socialist policies.  Dr. Swamy's foresight was evident in his ability to connect immediate crisis...

Dr Swamy's three step formula to make India a VishwaGuru again

BJP leader and eminent economist, Dr Subramanian Swamy, invited as a Chief Speaker at a recent webinar of TiE on "Making India Succeed", spoke at length on India's existing challenges and viable solutions to address these challenges. However, Dr Swamy categorically focused on three major areas, which will help to improve India's world status and restore the country's past glory.  These are explained below: Improve the state of Economy Abolish income tax to boost consumption and savings among households. Bring down interest rates on business loans up to the level of 6% p.a for MSMEs. This will improve connectivity, reduce unemployment, increase purchasing power and spur demand. Social Revolution Indians must start believing in themselves as belonging to the same ancestral tree and identify themselves as prod...
